This and that

Fri Nov 27, 2009, 3:12 PM
Wuh, electrical enginnering it is, bam.
Frankly speaking, right now id love to quit university and go back to school, they are gonna torture us with theory for 1 1/2 years, horrid, not even the smallest experiment in the lab. How in Hell are people supposed to see the importance of what they learn without using it for real,at least I know whats useful and whats not because I have a lot of practice and experience in dealings with electric things.

Well, enough complaints, i still have enough spare time (read: i take a bit more free time than i should) to do tons of other things.
Have been refining my metalworking skills and will continue to do so.
In the moment im facing almost an overflow of ideas and new (old) tech things, stuff 'n salvage that pile up on the shelves.
Where to start?
Well, i dont know.
Right now its about 70 kilograms of components that could be converted into all sorts of Tesla Coil, High Voltage special effects related things.
Add the usual variety of smaller lil funny things that acumulate.
I am planning to make as much of it as feasible as steampunkish, gothicish whatever as possible, lets see how that works out, i still lack ideas in some areas but overall my plans are beginning to take shape.
Now what i really need to start is a can of wood finish that gives a nice dark retro look, anyone got a suggestion for stuff availible in Europe
